Epilog
Ich stürze abThe Epilog represents the mirror image to the Prolog: The order of the spectral and sampled sounds, the libretto and the improvised answering-machine texts are reversed. Once again water sounds are preeminent and follow their own drama by swelling from a trickle to a torrent before ending with the waves of an ocean–the Dead Sea Brasch refers to in his libretto. Brasch’s pun at the end of his answering-machine text adds an extra dimension of meaning: „Das war’s. Morgen vielleicht mehr. Meer.“ (Freely translated to preserve the pun: „That’s it. Let’s see, maybe more tomorrow. Sea.“)
